SRT Certification & BARE Mentorship Program
Program Overview
The SRT Certification & BARE Mentorship Program offers two distinct pathways for individuals looking to deepen their understanding of Slow Resistance Training. Whether your goal is to enrich your own practice or build toward a future instructor role, this program provides comprehensive education and hands-on development.
SRT Certification Course
A 3-day, in-person educational experience that establishes the foundation of Slow Resistance Training. This training includes full in-person education on the SRT Method, with a deep dive into movement mechanics and alignment standards, time-under-tension principles, and cueing foundations that build strong instructor presence.
Participants will also be introduced to routine structure, sequencing, and flow, and will receive certification in Slow Resistance Training upon completion. This track is ideal for anyone looking to learn the method, whether for personal development or with the intention to teach in the future.

SRT Certification + 3-Month BARE Mentorship Program
This program includes everything covered in the SRT Certification, with the addition of a comprehensive mentorship experience designed to support confident, well-rounded instructors.
Trainees receive weekly one-on-one coaching with Maria throughout the three-month program, focusing on cueing, sequencing, corrections, communication, confidence, and instructor presence, along with a tailored growth plan for individualized development.
Participants are granted unlimited studio access during approved times, including opportunities for class shadowing and filming for feedback and self-review.
The program also includes weekly practice teach-backs with guided feedback to refine timing, transitions, pacing, and room management. Trainees receive an unlimited membership for three months, allowing them to experience the method from a student perspective while developing their instructor voice and movement understanding.
Additional routine-building guidance supports the creation of balanced SRT classes, smooth and intentional transitions, and a strong personal teaching style while maintaining method integrity.
The program concludes with a final practical evaluation, after which trainees who demonstrate readiness through hands-on performance will be certified to teach Slow Resistance Training.

These guidelines apply only to individuals interested in pursuing an instructor role at BARE. Completion of the certification alone does not guarantee consideration for teaching, as all interested candidates must both complete the course and successfully audition. For the Mentorship Program, applicants are required to audition prior to acceptance to ensure alignment and readiness. Participation in either program does not guarantee a teaching position at BARE; instructor placement is determined by skill level, professionalism, cultural fit, studio needs, and overall audition performance.

Learning from Maria has been such a meaningful part of my journey as a Pilates instructor. She has this rare gift of being warm, funny, and lovingly direct all at once, which makes you feel supported while still being challenged to grow. She explains things clearly and layers guidance in a way that allows confidence to build naturally over time. Her classes feel safe, welcoming, and lighthearted, while still giving you space to ask questions, stretch your abilities, and truly learn.
What I love most is that the growth never stops. Even now, I continue to look up to her and still learn from every class I take with her. She is someone I deeply admire as both a teacher and a mentor.

I can’t say enough about my experience being mentored by Maria! She guided me through the SRT training process with so much knowledge and patience. Beyond the initial training, she was always available to answer my questions and offer support as I found my footing. She helped me master everything from the technicality of cueing and sequencing to the art of playlisting. Her feedback on my routines was always constructive and helped me grow faster than I imagined. I now feel like a confident, skilled instructor, and I owe so much of that to Maria’s incredible mentorship

I truly would not be the instructor I am today without her guidance. She has taught me almost everything I know not only about our method but about confidence, presence, & trusting myself as a teacher. She created a space where I felt comfortable, empowered, & genuinely believed in especially during moments when I didn’t fully believe in myself. She consistently pushed me to get better, practice more & refine my craft while being there to answer questions about cueing, form, or routine flow. I am endlessly grateful for the opportunity, support, & freedom to grow into the instructor I am today.

Maria completely changed my Pilates journey. She’s the reason I decided to become an instructor in the first place. She poured countless hours into training me, welcomed my million questions, and was always just a text away whenever I needed guidance on a move or transition. Her support, patience, and belief in me shaped the instructor I am today—I truly wouldn’t be here without her

She has an incredible ability to understand where someone is struggling and guide them with patience and encouragement, creating a space for confidence and growth. I’m deeply grateful for everything she has taught me and continues to guide me through.
