PSA: EVERYONE’S SHAKING.NOBODY’S JUDGING.

Hi, it’s Maria 👋—want the actual truth? Comparing yourself to others in class is a total waste of energy. Yep, I said it. We all do it— walk in, glance around, and immediately start making mental notes: She looks so strong. Her outfit’s on point. Wait, how is she not
shaking?
And then boom—your brain’s gone rogue before class even starts.
You’re not focused on your form, your breath, or your strength. You’re focused on everyone else’s. And for what? Nobody’s giving out medals for “most graceful lunge” or “least amount of trembling.” Here’s the reality: everyone’s shaking. Everyone’s trying. Everyone’s showing up with their own story—some days feeling strong, some days barely hanging on (literally). The person next to you? She’s probably too busy wondering if she looks like she knows what she’s doing to even notice you.
BARE was never meant to be that kind of place. This isn’t about outdoing the person beside you—it’s about feeding off their energy. Because there’s something kind of magic about a room full of people pushing through together. You hear the exhales, you feel the shake,
and suddenly it’s not you vs. them—it’s us, surviving together. And honestly? That whole comparison thing doesn’t stop when you leave class. It just changes outfits. Maybe it’s scrolling Instagram and wondering why everyone else’s life looks so put-together. Maybe it’s
seeing someone at work who seems to have it all figured out. But the same truth applies: comparison doesn’t make you better—it makes you distracted.
And I think it’s so weird how we can all pinpoint that comparison is a problem—how social media is a problem—and yet we still do nothing about it. So let BARE be a place where we start shifting the narrative. A place where you don’t have to perform, prove, or pretend. A place where you can drop the pressure to be perfect and just be.
When you stop worrying about how you look next to someone else and start paying attention to how you feel, everything shifts. You start to notice the small wins. You start showing up with more confidence. You start cheering for other people instead of competing
with them—and that energy? It carries everywhere. So maybe the next time you love someone’s matching set or you’re inspired by their strength in class—tell them. Make it a compliment instead of a comparison. Start a conversation. Make a new friend in
our BARE Circle. Because connection feels way better than comparison ever will.
✨ Let’s be honest—nobody’s winning awards here. We’re all just here for the shake, the growth, and maybe a little sanity along the way.
