YOUR FRIENDS SHOULD MAKE YOU HOTTER

Hi, it’s Maria!

I think people underestimate how much easier life feels when you’re around

people who bring out the version of you that you actually like.

Certain people bring out different sides of you. You spend time with them and

suddenly you’re more motivated, more social, more productive, more confident. You leave feeling lighter, more energized, more like yourself. And then there are other situations, other environments, other people that pull you in the opposite direction. You start putting things off more. You feel more drained. More disconnected from yourself without even realizing it.

The people around you influence more than people want to admit. Your habits,

your routines, your mindset, even how you talk to yourself. You start

normalizing whatever you’re consistently surrounded by.

And honestly, I think that’s part of why it’s so hard to build new habits

completely alone.

Not because you’re lazy. Not because you’re incapable of being consistent. But

because it’s easier to talk yourself out of something when no one else is

involved. You’ll cancel on yourself way faster than you’ll cancel on someone

who’s expecting you to show up. You’ll push something off when it only affects

you, but the second another person is attached to it, your energy changes.

It’s the same thing with workouts and routines. People think consistency is all

about discipline, but a lot of the time it’s actually about environment. It’s about

who you’re around, what you’re exposed to, and whether the people in your life

normalize taking care of themselves or constantly putting themselves last.

That’s a huge part of what we wanted Hot BARE Summer to feel like.

Not just a challenge where you count classes and check boxes, but something

that actually changes the energy around you a little. Something that gives people

a reason to show up together, spend time together, and make taking care of

themselves feel more social again. Something that makes showing up feel

exciting instead of like another thing on your to-do list.

Something motivating. Something that makes showing up feel exciting again

instead of like another thing on your to-do list.

And honestly, one of my favorite things about BARE is watching people come in

alone and slowly become part of the community. People walk in nervous, not

knowing anyone, and a few weeks later they’re talking before class, booking

classes together, bringing friends, holding each other accountable, and

genuinely looking forward to being there.

Community is built by consistently showing up in the same room with people

who are all there trying to better themselves too.

Because when you’re around people who are all trying to feel stronger, more

confident, healthier, happier, and more connected to themselves, it changes the

way you move through your life too. Showing up for yourself starts feeling more

normal. More fun. More like something you actually want to do instead of

something you keep putting off.

And honestly, that feels very Hot BARE Summer to me.
